Foundation Awards

The Yasme Foundation is pleased to announce the establishment of the
 Yasme Excellence Awards
and the January 18, 2008 Winners.

The Yasme Plaque

The Yasme Trophy

The Yasme Foundation offers a beautiful plaque to anyone who submits QSL cards showing contacts with 30 different callsigns of YASME officers, directors and/or operations. For proof of 60 contacts, a trophy in the shape of the sailboat "Yasme" is awarded. Eligible callsigns are defined as any combination of the following:

1) Callsigns of Yasme officials under any of the various calls they hold or may have held, each being a single credit.

2) Call signs of operations designated Yasme DXpeditions regardless of operator, such as FO0XX, XF4L, 3D2AM, etc. Generally, these are DXpeditions which include one or more Yasme officials. Under certain circumstances, other DXpeditions may be designated Yasme expeditions, even if no Yasme official participated.

3) The callsign of any station using a call issued to a Yasme official, regardless of the operator.

Contacts made with Yasme officials using callsigns issued to others do not count unless participation is a Yasme designated DXpedition. A list of eligible callsigns can be found on the DXpeditions page of this web site.

Award application should be made by letter to the Awards Manager:
Randy Wright, W6CUA
18432 Milmar Blvd.
Castro Valley, CA 94546 USA

The application must include your name, call, mailing address, shipping address, e-mail address, and a list of the stations with dates and bands, along with the cards for verification.  There is no charge for the Yasme Awards, however, if you wish to make a donation towards their cost, please feel free to do so with our thanks.

The awards are sent via UPS or FedEx, so please be sure to provide a shipping address for "ground delivery."
(NOTE: Ground delivery is made to a street address, not to a PO Box.)

If you have a personal log record which shows contact with a station in our DXpeditions Callsign Directory, but you do not yet have a QSL card confirming that contact, you may request cards from the QSL Manager.  Cards are only available if the DXpedition call is marked with an asterisk (*).

Request QSL cards from:
The Yasme Foundation, PO Box 20578, Castro Valley, CA 94546  (not from W6CUA, the Awards Manager).
For more information you may write (send SASE):
The Yasme Foundation
PO Box 20578
Castro Valley, CA 94546

or E-mail: yasmeqslmgr@comcast.net (Yasme QSL Manager)
